1. Nature of the Service
Yieldbard is an information and calculation tool. It helps users who hold portfolios at Interactive Brokers (IBKR) understand how box spread financing works and estimate indicative financing rates.
The Service does not execute trades, hold assets, transfer funds, or provide investment advice of any kind. We are not a broker, investment firm, portfolio manager, or financial advisor.
All figures shown — including rates, spreads, cash proceeds, and after-tax estimates — are illustrative or indicative only. They are derived from publicly available benchmark data, historical quotes, or user-supplied parameters. They do not represent binding quotes, guaranteed outcomes, or recommendations to transact.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.
The Service is intended for self-directed investors who already hold or are considering a portfolio at Interactive Brokers and who have sufficient knowledge and experience with options and derivatives to evaluate the information presented.
The Service is not intended for persons who are prohibited from using such a tool under applicable law, or for use on behalf of third parties without their consent.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to access the member area. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must provide accurate and current information at registration. Notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that are inactive for an extended period, or where we have reasonable grounds to believe the account is being used fraudulently.
4. IBKR Connectivity via SnapTrade
To display your IBKR account data within the member area, the Service uses the SnapTrade API, a regulated third-party aggregation service. You will be asked to authorise a read-only connection to your IBKR account via SnapTrade's secure portal.
This connection is strictly read-only. We never have the ability to place orders, move funds, or modify your account settings at IBKR.
By connecting your IBKR account, you consent to SnapTrade processing your brokerage data in accordance with their terms and privacy policy. You can revoke this connection at any time.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service to provide investment, tax, or legal advice to third parties; (b) scrape, reproduce, or redistribute the rate data or calculation outputs for commercial purposes without prior written consent; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or disrupt any part of the Service; (d) use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.
You may use the outputs of the Service for your own personal financial planning and research, subject to the disclaimers in these Terms.
6. No Investment Advice
Nothing on the Service constitutes investment advice, a personal recommendation, or an invitation to buy or sell any financial instrument within the meaning of MiFID II, the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG), or any other applicable regulation.
The Service has not been authorised or registered as an investment advisor by BaFin (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht) or any other regulatory authority. We expressly disclaim any advisory or fiduciary relationship with you.
Before implementing any financing strategy, you should consult an independent qualified financial advisor, tax advisor (Steuerberater), and if appropriate, a lawyer (Rechtsanwalt).
7. Tax Disclaimer
The tax estimates provided by the Service — including after-tax effective rates and tax savings figures — are illustrative only. They use simplified assumptions about German capital gains tax (Abgeltungsteuer) and may not reflect your personal tax circumstances.
Tax treatment of box spreads in Germany is subject to change. The Jahressteuergesetz 2024 and subsequent legislation may affect how financing proceeds are classified. You should verify the current tax position with your Steuerberater before relying on any tax-related output from this Service.
We do not provide tax advice. No output from the Service should be treated as a statement of tax law.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from inaccuracies.
Rate data, benchmarks, and calculations are provided for informational purposes only. Market conditions change continuously, and the figures shown may not reflect current market rates at any given moment.
We make no representation regarding the suitability of any financing structure for your personal situation.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Oscar Rojas et al and their employees and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under German law.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Service, including rate models, calculation logic, design, and text, is the property of Yieldbard or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
The date of the most recent revision is displayed at the bottom of this page.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law provisions.
The courts of Berlin shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Service, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
